Cookie policy
In the event of any discrepancy, the Spanish (Castilian) version prevails.
Last updated: 30 October 2026.
In short. We use no cookies or advertising, and we load no third-party content. We measure website use with aggregated statistics, without cookies and without storing anything on your device, on our own server. We only remember, in your browser, the language you choose, the theme (light or dark), whether you prefer to pause motion and the time of your last form submissions (to avoid repeated submissions).
1. What cookies are
Cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage, localStorage) store or read information on your device when you visit a website. Under Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE and the Spanish Data Protection Agency's (AEPD) Guide on the use of cookies, they require your consent unless they are strictly necessary to provide the service you have requested, such as those that store an interface customisation preference that you choose.
2. What this website uses
This website does not install cookies (neither its own nor third-party), uses no advertising, includes no persistent identifiers on your device or fingerprinting techniques, and loads no third-party resources: fonts and code are served from its own domain. The only external load is the small statistics script, downloaded from a server belonging to the owner (another domain, that of his Tailscale private network), described below. It only uses these local storage keys (localStorage and, for the last one, sessionStorage), which never leave your browser or get sent to any server:
| Key | Purpose | Duration | Owner |
|---|---|---|---|
theme | To remember your choice of theme: light, dark or automatic. | Until you delete it | Own |
motion | To remember whether you have paused motion and animations. | Until you delete it | Own |
hz_envios | To avoid repeated submissions of the contact form: it stores only the time of your last submissions. | Until you delete it (the website ignores anything older than an hour) | Own |
hz_lang | To remember the language you choose (Spanish, Catalan or English) so the website is shown to you in that language. | Until you delete it (if your browser blocks localStorage, it is stored in sessionStorage until you close the tab) | Own |
hz_lang_redirected | To avoid redirect loops: it marks that the website has just taken you to the version in your language, so it does not jump again. It lives in sessionStorage. | Deleted as soon as the destination page loads (at most, until you close the tab) | Own |
The theme and motion keys are only stored when you press the theme button or the pause button in the bar, and hz_lang only when you choose a language in the “ES · CA · EN” selector or open a link that specifies one. If you have not chosen one, the website shows you the version in the language set in your browser, without storing anything. They are customisation preferences that you choose and serve only so that the website appears as you ask, which is why they are exempt from consent under Art. 22.2 LSSI-CE and the AEPD guide. The hz_envios key is stored only when you submit the form, contains no personal data and is necessary for the service you request (it avoids repeated submissions): it is also exempt. The hz_lang_redirected key is technical: it only stops the website from redirecting you twice in a row, lasts as long as the destination page takes to load and contains no personal data; it is also exempt. That is why we do not show a cookie notice.
Cookie-free usage statistics
We measure visits with Umami, open-source software self-hosted on a server belonging to the owner. According to its official documentation (docs.umami.is), its tracker does not use cookies. It does not write anything to your device either: it only checks, if it exists, an optional umami.disabled key in localStorage that lets you stop being measured (if you want, create it with the value 1 from your browser's tools). It does not identify you persistently: the visit identifier is a hash computed on the server from the IP (which is not stored), the browser, the site and a salt that changes every month. We respect the browser's “Do Not Track” signal. What data it receives and on what legal basis is in the privacy policy. Since it neither installs nor reads information to identify you, it needs no prior consent under LSSI-CE Art. 22.2 and we do not show a cookie notice.
As with any web hosting, the server may record technical connection data; that is not a cookie and is explained in the privacy policy.
3. How to delete them
From your browser settings, in the privacy or site data section, delete the data for haznova.com (in Chrome, Edge and Firefox: privacy settings, “cookies and site data”; in Safari: privacy settings, “manage website data”). They are also deleted when you clear your history and site data, and they are not stored in a private window. If you delete them, the website goes back to the automatic theme and motion and to your browser's language. Your browser also lets you block these keys: the website will keep working, without remembering your preferences.
4. If this changes
If in the future we add analytics that use cookies or identifiers on your device, non-exempt cookies or third-party services, they will not be activated until you accept them: we will ask for your prior consent, with the options to accept and reject at the same level, you will be able to withdraw it just as easily and we will first update this policy with the details of each cookie (name, purpose, duration and owner).
